Things You Should Consider Before You Get a Holiday Home - Blue Bay Homes

A retreat for weekends, a base to hide away in during the Christmas and summer holidays with no one around but friends and family – doesn’t it sound wonderful? If you are thinking of getting in on the holiday home action, there are some very important points that you should consider. (Also, be prepared for the sudden tide of friends and family wanting to use the space once that first Facebook post has been made).

The first point to consider is how often you will be using the property, how accessible is it?

Often people buy holiday homes or apartments in north Wales that are out in the country and take a long time to get to, with the idea that you will get a wonderful escape in nature.

However, it’s often found that this new country escape takes an impossibly long time to get to, all via country backgrounds which are poorly maintained. If you are coming from far, it’s going to be a good idea that you get somewhere with strong transport links, be it a good expressway or train station.

It just so happens that the view is located only 1 and a half hours away from Manchester via the A55 North Wales Expressway and only 1.20 from Liverpool which means that anyone coming from any big city in the northwest will find this property extremely convenient. It’s also true that it’s only a 4-hour drive from London!

The second consideration is a location in regards to what you want to be nearby. Do you fancy the ocean? The mountains? The woods or meadows?

Well, the view from Bluebay homes is overlooking the gorgeous North Wales coastline and is only a very short drive to the beach (about 5 minutes), as well as being very close to Pwllycrochan woods which makes for some fantastic walks when family and friends come to visit. It’s also just half an hour away from Snowdonia National Park, or the bustling city of Bangor on the edge of the Menai Strait, and then on to the Isle of Anglesey.

What amenities do you have?

It’s important that the property in question has great plumbing so can have your baths and showers whenever it is needed. The View has freshly installed ensuite and main bathrooms in our properties which means that you will have all of the comforts that you could possibly want.

Is it a desirable property?

Your property needs a USP, why would you want to live there in the first place? It’s going to be much the same idea when you come to sell it. Blue bay homes have been designed so that every single one of our flats has an absolutely fantastic view out into the Irish sea, that you just cannot get anywhere else. When this is combined with the aforementioned other benefits it becomes an extremely desirable place to live and so there is a great investment.
